AE 9.0.2 troubleshooting: a very special DK welcome

anh quach, after several reinstalls, deinstalls, wash and repeats, finally got my after effects to work. but more importantly, ahn was able to both welcome me and show off his formidable after effects chops in one fell swoop. never in my life have i been so touched and awed at once--thank you anh!

Joining the DK Crew

I've already had the pleasure of working with several people at DK, over the last few months and have sincerely never met a more talented group, not to mention more friendly. I'm incredibly excited to officially join the team. Outside of work, I enjoy oatmeal cookies, vinyl records, a beam reach, jokes about Oklahoma, and watching my daughter eat avocados. Looking forward to meeting the rest of DK, very soon!

I've always liked this picture

I caught this couple making out in Bratislava. Or rather, the guy was overpowering her face and she was barely hanging on. I wanted to catch them in the act, but my camera focused on the rocks instead.

The Art of Process Lecture "Art Directors Club Denver"

After Rama and myself finished our choreographed interpretive dance of Devo's "Gut Feeling" we sat down with artists and designers in Denver to discuss DK, collaboration, and our respective creative processes. It was a blast! And we would like to give a big shout out to all the folks at the Art Directors Club of Denver for making our stay so wonderful. Rock and roll, your mayor makes good beer!

World of Math

With an eye for photography and keen skills for mathematical description, Nikki Graziano (student at RIT) takes pictures of nature and overlays similar mathematical formulas to make delicate and unique works of art.

The photograph format and careful grid overlays recall the medium format nature of a Hasselblad viewfinder. Likely, the most famous Hasselbald photos are the Apolo 11 images of the moon. I wonder how Nikki's formulas would describe the lunar surface?
